CEO Board backs $20,000 for Raising Cane Business Summit and business challenge

Chair (Speaker 1) said the summit aims to support established small businesses generating under $150,000 in revenue by offering networking, presentations and a business challenge. The event organizers have secured $5,000 from State Bank of Southern Utah toward a $10,000 prize pool for the business challenge and expect to use the CEO Board funds toward the remainder of the prize money and event costs such as food, speakers and exhibitor support.
"We have 10,000 in prize money," the chair told the board, noting half was already pledged. Board members discussed exhibitor lists and attendance goals (organizers said they hope for 250–300 attendees) and emphasized the event's role in drawing regional attention and potential state-level interest.
Speaker 3 moved to approve $20,000; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The board recommended the funding to the full county commission for final approval. Organizers said they would continue fundraising and report back on sponsorship and budget details.
