KANAB — Kane County commissioners approved a set of land‑use items during the Oct. 15 meeting, including several zone changes, an amended plat, and lot‑joiners that Planning & Zoning had recommended.
Items approved included: ordinance 2024‑22 (Knapp 601/60 LLC zone change), ordinance 2024‑24 (Hidden Canyon holdings zone change), ordinance 2024‑25 (Chamberlain Ranch Holdings zone change), and ordinance 2024‑26 (Hackbarth amended plat). Several lot‑joiner applications and associated public-utility‑easement vacations were also approved, some conditionally pending minor additional land‑use office details.
Planning & Zoning commissioners briefed the board that the proposed changes were generally consistent with the general plan and surrounding uses. Where Planning & Zoning recommended conditions, they were incorporated or made a condition of final approval. The commission approved the listed ordinances and lot actions by voice vote.
The approvals move the affected parcels to the next stage of subdivision or development processes as applicable; some applicants and staff were asked to return with final plats, frontage-road agreements, or minor administrative items at the preliminary-plat stage.
