Board members including Bruce Bundy and the district conservationist (Tice) described grants secured from the Utah Department of Agriculture and the Utah Conservation Commission to purchase a range drill and a no‑till drill. Tice said the equipment will be available for private land producers to rent and will be used in soil‑health programs funded partly by county support.
The district also reported collaborative work in weed-control through a multi-county cooperative weed management area (CWMA) and said it drafted a resolution asking for better coordination with state trust lands. Commissioners recognized the district’s volunteer leadership and recommended continued partnership as the county implements ag‑protection zones in its general plan.
