Emery County EDB ratifies grant-support letter, approves minutes and sets 2025 schedule

The Emery County Economic Development Board voted unanimously to approve minutes from its Aug. 12 meeting, ratified a previously signed letter of support for a Rural Opportunities grant and approved its 2025 meeting schedule.

The board moved quickly through routine business at the start of the meeting. Patsy moved to approve the Aug. 12 minutes with changes that had been provided to staff; another board member seconded and the motion carried by voice vote. Later, the board ratified a letter of support for a Rural Opportunities grant that had been circulated and signed by email; a board member moved to ratify the signature and the board approved it by voice vote.

Members also approved a proposed meeting calendar for 2025. A motion to adopt the schedule (quarterly meetings in January, April, July and November, with flexibility for additional sessions) passed by voice vote.
