The Emery County Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve the Fillmore minor subdivision in Lawrence during its Sept. 11, 2024 meeting.
County staff said the proposal divides the parcel into four lots, each at least two acres, with proposed road easements, power and water access planned and mapped. The county explained minor‑subdivision rules: lots must be a minimum of two acres, roads and easements cannot reduce deeded lot acreage below that minimum, roads must be 60 feet wide and accessible for emergency vehicles, and no more than five lots are allowed in a minor subdivision; the Fillmore plan meets those conditions.
Commissioners moved and seconded the approval; the motion passed unanimously with no recorded roll‑call in the transcript.
Next steps: county staff said the survey must be completed and recorded at the recorder’s office before any building permits are issued.
