Emery County LBA approves minutes, pays bills and adopts 2025 meeting schedule

The Board of Local Building Authority of Emery County opened its Dec. 17 meeting by approving the Sept. 3, 2024 meeting minutes, authorizing payment of outstanding bills, and approving the 2025 LBA meeting schedule.
Speaker 2 moved to approve the Sept. 3 minutes and Speaker 4 seconded; the motion passed with recorded ayes by Jensen, Leonard and Citrott. Later, Speaker 3 provided an update on bills and reimbursements, saying the final TSJ invoice for the Gasification building was signed and will be submitted to CIV for reimbursement. "We've requested the final hundred thousand from the state of Utah on that project, and we have about a hundred and 19,000 left to spend," Speaker 3 said.
Speaker 5 moved to approve bills to be paid through the Local Building Authority and Speaker 5 seconded; the board voted to approve the payments (ayes recorded). On the calendar, Speaker 3 recommended keeping 2025 meetings on the same quarterly schedule; Speaker 4 moved and Speaker 2 seconded adoption of the 2025 quarterly schedule, which the board approved (ayes recorded).
At the end of the meeting, Speaker 2 raised a reminder to monitor costs on the senior citizen building project so it does not exceed budget. The meeting adjourned following a motion to adjourn.
