PLIPCO and BLM report one bid for advertised commercial lease; data‑center and local solar updates

PLIPCO also described the Horn Shadow solar‑lease road reroute, noted storms washed out portions of the reroute, and said they obtained approval to use OHV funds and culverts to repair washed sections. Torterson said the agency appreciates the county’s patience while road and culvert work proceed.
Cedar Mountain and Sabo trailhead: PLIPCO staff said AES relinquished the Cedar Mountain solar lease amid public concerns and that PLIPCO is willing to explore reroutes or access options for trailheads like Sabo (Sago) but cautioned such work is expensive and technically challenging.
Next steps: PLIPCO offered to provide maps and meet with local officials to discuss proposed data‑center locations and potential mine/lease road repairs; council members asked for follow‑up briefings and copies of maps shown at the meeting.
