Duchesne County commissioners unanimously adopted the county'wide 2025 budget and approved the 2025 library budget during a public hearing on Monday, Dec. 9, at the Duchesne County Administration Building.
Clerk/Auditor Shalise Jessen presented the spending plan and revenue projections, telling the commission, "we have a surplus of $14,639,763" for 2024 and outlining the county's proposed 2025 revenues. Jessen said the county projects $32,706,070 in total revenue for 2025, built from taxes ($16,294,142), oil royalties and leases ($8,000,210), charges for services ($3,790,550) and other sources.
