The sheriff presented two awards: one recognizing an individual officer (McClain) for initiating the investigation and another to the Emery County Drug Task Force for the cooperative work that resulted in seizures and arrests.
Sheriff Huntington emphasized interagency cooperation and credited dispatchers, jail staff and county employees for supporting the operation. He read excerpts of an award letter and called out the persistence of officers who followed leads beyond an initial traffic stop.
