County staff explained the resolution and property-description work required multiple iterations, noted typographical corrections had been made and that the annexation notice had run for four consecutive weeks as required under Utah Code 17D-1-206. Staff told the commission there was no final action on the day’s agenda and requested the board return the matter in 60 days for a possible resolution approval.
A staff member summarized outreach: the office received one caller with questions and one in-person inquiry; no written protests were reported during the hearing. The chair noted that any person who submitted a written protest may withdraw it no later than 60 days after the hearing.
The commission voted to open the hearing and later returned to the regular meeting without taking final action. Commissioners asked staff to return with the corrected documentation and to bring the resolution back to the board in 60 days for possible approval.
Next steps: staff will prepare corrected property descriptions and present the resolution for final action at a future meeting within the statutory window.
