“...we just make this contingent upon up to a million dollars, contingent upon your absolute needs,” a commissioner said when proposing the motion.
The commission recorded the motion and voted in favor. The authorization is intended as a short-term operational backstop; county staff said the funds would be reconciled and returned to the sweep account when eligible.
