Projects: Staff reported Taxiway Alpha 1 construction will start in spring 2025 to avoid prolonged winter runway closures; the ramp expansion discretionary funding could be rebid in spring, potentially lowering the local match from 10% to around 5%. The gate replacement and a small HVAC improvement in the baggage‑screening area were approved to meet TSA requirements, and engineers are designing an interim gate solution for fence damage in the runway wash.
Staff said an RFP for engineers/consultants of record will be issued in the coming week to support multiple projects. The board also discussed use of TRCCA/Contour advertising funds for airport marketing and the possibility of an improved standalone airport website; staff will follow up with the county marketing lead and report at the next board meeting.
