The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority voted to open and amend its 2024 budget and to adopt its 2025 budget after members added a clinic line item and clarified project accounting.
Speaker 2 (Unidentified Speaker) moved to approve Resolution 24-02 MBA opening and amending the 2024 budget; Speaker 1 (Unidentified Speaker) seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
On the 2025 budget, Speaker 1 presented Resolution 24-03 MBA to adopt the authority’s 2025 budget. Speaker 2 said the clinic had been included in the 2025 budget as an amendment to the earlier draft, and Speaker 3 (Unidentified Speaker) urged keeping the clinic and the Dutch Johnston project separately accounted. “So the total revenue and expenses would be 10,163,400,” Speaker 3 said.
Speaker 2 proposed and Speaker 3 and others supported an amendment to separate the two projects in the accounting and to add a line item reflecting a $400,000 contribution from Northeast Counseling earmarked specifically for the clinic. Speaker 3 said the authority’s firm would make the required change and attach it to the resolution. With the amendment on the table and a second, the board adopted Resolution 24-03 MBA to adopt the 2025 budget.
The board also approved a motion to set the Daggett County Municipal Building Authority’s 2025 meeting schedule to begin weekly on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m., to allow MBA business to be conducted independently of county business; that schedule ordinance will be ratified at the next meeting.
There were brief procedural items about approving minutes (including one February 20 item that still needs research), and a public-comment invitation generated no speakers. The meeting was adjourned by acclamation at 4:52 p.m.
Actions recorded in the meeting minutes include adopting Resolution 24-02 MBA to open and amend the 2024 budget, adopting Resolution 24-03 MBA for the 2025 budget with the clinic separation and the $400,000 Northeast Counseling contribution, and approving a schedule-setting motion for 2025 MBA meetings on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. The meeting transcript does not list roll-call names for the votes beyond the recorded verbal 'Aye' responses.
