Daggett County Commission approves routine financial reports, business license and appointments

The Daggett County Commission approved a series of routine financial and administrative items during its Sept. 27 meeting, including acknowledgment of the cash summary, approval of open invoices and a disbursement listing, and a new business license.

Speaker 4 moved to acknowledge receipt of the cash summary dated Sept. 27, 2024; Speaker 2 seconded and the motion carried by voice vote. Speaker 4 then moved to approve the open invoice register dated Sept. 26, 2024, stating an amount ultimately recorded as $73,642.52; Speaker 2 seconded and commissioners voted aye. The commission approved the disbursement listing for checks 919–926 covering the period Sept. 19–26, 2024, totaling $644,869.04 after a motion from Speaker 4 and a second from Speaker 2.

The commission approved a business license application for Flaming Gorge Outfitters (applicants identified in the packet as Jennifer Elfen and her husband) after Speaker 4 moved and Speaker 2 seconded the motion. "Everything's in," Speaker 4 said when presenting the application, and the commission voted to approve the license.

Commissioners also adopted Resolution 24-10 appointing a representative and alternate to represent Daggett County at the Utah County's Indemnity Pool annual membership meeting; the motion named Carrie (if willing) as representative and Speaker 2 as alternate. The commission adopted Resolution 24-11 creating a municipal building authority, including associated articles of incorporation and bylaws; commissioners discussed the effective date and confirmed the resolution becomes effective immediately upon adoption.
