The Davis County commission approved several facilities- and community-development items, including a major architectural contract for a new Bountiful Branch Library, construction amendments and a land donation for trail expansion.
Facilities director Lane Rose presented Amendment No. 1 to contract 12542023 for additional asphalt work ($10,251.25) and an agreement with Mountain States Fence Company for fencing and gates at the health department parking-lot expansion ($95,910). Library staff presented an architectural-services agreement with Modern Out West PLC for the Bountiful Branch Library valued at $3,326,250 and said the project will run through 12/31/2026. Kent Anderson presented acceptance of a quick-claim deed from River Ridge Partners LLC (Neil Wall) conveying roughly 0.562 acres for future extension of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
Commission action: commissioners moved to approve the series of items and recorded approval by voice vote.
Next steps: departments will proceed with procurement and project schedules; staff will record deeds and coordinate the trail extension planning as appropriate.
