Davis County honors RSVP volunteers after well‑attended recognition event

"We held our RSVP recognition event on October 1," the presenter said, noting the event moved to the Western Sports Park (formerly the Legacy Event Center) to accommodate a larger response.
The presenters described a 1950s theme, catered barbecue, a photo booth and entertainment by Dave Allen. They said invitations went to 281 volunteers, 33 volunteers RSVP'd and 59 guests RSVP'd. Survey results reported the majority of respondents rated the event a four or five (satisfied or very satisfied), and 76% gave it five stars overall.
Board members praised the event and credited staff and volunteer leadership. One member highlighted Tasia's role in organizing the theme and planning, while presenters said a committee of six helped with set up and logistics. The board discussed continuing outreach to active RSVP stations such as Meals on Wheels, Antelope Island and the Bountiful Food Pantry.
