Resident asks Davis County Commission for disclosure on Code Blue town hall and raises fluoride concerns

“Do you need my address?” Starkey asked before describing the meeting. She said the Zoom event included neighbors and “one of the commissioners” and asked, “Is that public information yet and when, if not, when will it become public information?”
Starkey also raised health concerns about fluoride in the drinking water, referencing a recent district court decision and saying published levels “were higher than Environmental Protection Agency suggested” and that the substance added to water could be “very strong” and affect children and health‑sensitive residents. She asked what the county is doing and what the public can do to know how the county will respond to protect children.
The chair replied that public-comment questions are usually addressed after the meeting and invited Starkey to stay. A meeting attendee clarified whether she meant fluoride, and Starkey confirmed.
No county action or staff response to those specific requests was announced during the public comment period; the chair said staff could “touch base with you a little bit” after the meeting.
