The board voted unanimously to approve routine agenda bundles including bids and exonerations (items 2.01–2.03), administrative personnel actions (3.01), multiple personnel appointments and resignations (4.1–4.06), and personnel support items (5.01–5.04). Each motion was moved and seconded and passed by a 5-0 tally.
In business operations, the board approved several contract items, including a transportation services addendum tied to the STA contract and a truancy services agreement with BCIU. Board member Mrs. Hollenbeck noted a discrepancy in the contract paperwork: "it says it's a 3 year addendum, but it is only in fact a 1 year addendum." That clarification was entered before the motion was approved unanimously.
The board also approved item 6.04 to accept a donation from the Chamonix Kids Club to the Herbert Hoover Library not to exceed $25,000. Members on the dais thanked Kathleen Carmona and Chamonix Kids Club staff for the gift. The item was approved 5-0.
Under educational development, the board approved a student settlement agreement (7.01) and a Discovery Education agreement (7.02). Mr. Rodriguez moved the education package; it was seconded and approved 5-0.
Roll call taken at the start of the meeting showed five members present and four members absent with prior notice; each recorded vote in the meeting was unanimous among those present. The board set its next public meeting for August 20 at 7 p.m. and then adjourned.
