"We're still waiting for that," the staff member said, and the staff member added the item also appears in next year's budget but is intended to be spent only once. The staff member said the contractor or company Beehive is "waiting for their money" while a contract amendment is pending.
During public comment, Deanna Hardy Brigham identified herself and urged the agency to reject the redevelopment approach. "We oppose the redevelopment program because you are picking winners and losers in business, and this is not fair," Brigham said, adding that public-private partnerships were contrary to her view of the state's constitution and the form of government.
Presiding official S1 made a motion to approve what was read as "resolution 20 four-three" amending the 2024 RDA budget. The presiding official identified the motion as coming from Commissioner Summers and announced a second from Commissioner Bingham. The presiding official called for the vote; those present responded "aye" and the motion was declared passed.
