Neshaminy SD board approves bundled consent items; administrative appointments pass in separate roll call

The presiding officer named two employees being recognized under retirements: Wendy Robson, with 30.3 years of service, and Susan Schneider, with 31 years, and thanked them "for your dedication to Neshaminy." After a voice vote raised a procedural concern when one member cast a "no" on item 2.04, the presiding officer re-read the master motion excluding item 2.04 so that that administrative appointments item could be considered separately. The revised bundled motion (items 2.01, 2.02, 2.03 and 2.05'.13) passed by voice vote.
Item 2.04 (administrative appointments) was moved and seconded for a separate roll-call. The roll-call vote on 2.04 recorded the following: Mrs. Bowman —yes—; Mrs. Hellenbeck —yes—; Miss Lafferty —yes—; Mr. Rodriguez —yes—; Mr. Sperni —no—; and Mr. Sullivan —yes—. The presiding officer announced the item passed 5—1.
No public comment was offered during the meeting's public-comment opportunities. The board also set items for the upcoming public board meeting on Nov. 21 and confirmed committee meeting dates.
Next steps: the approved administrative appointments will proceed per board direction; the district recorded retirements and will follow its usual personnel processes for transition.
