Superintendent Mr. Bowman opened his report by welcoming students and staff back for the new school year and saying the district experienced a "smooth start" with only routine schedule and bus adjustments. He said he visited schools in the opening days and saw "many happy faces," and reminded families about upcoming back‑to‑school nights at the high school, middle and elementary schools.

Bowman recognized Inspire Federal Credit Union and its president and CEO, Jim Merrill, for a donation to offset the cost of a video scoreboard at Harry Frank Stadium. He described the contribution as valuable to the district, saying, "This kind of support is invaluable and we very much appreciate this donation and their commitment to the students and our district." The donation amount noted in the meeting materials and read aloud at the meeting was $126,000.

Bowman also mentioned the district music teachers' instrumental discovery night and encouraged families to engage in school music programs. No formal board action was taken on the superintendent's report.
