Superintendent reports steady progress on new K–6 school; interior work to continue after exterior looks complete

Dr. Carter also summarized related work at the high school: ABM completed bathroom renovations in summer 2024 and the next phase includes HVAC, lighting and painting upgrades in 19 upstairs classrooms with a projected completion of April 2025 for those areas. Board members asked about tours and were invited to arrange site visits with the county administrator and superintendent once stairs are finished to improve accessibility.
