Campbell County honors 40 students chosen for Kentucky Governor’s summer programs

The Campbell County Fiscal Court recognized 40 students at its Oct. 16 meeting for participation in Kentucky’s Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs, the Governor’s School for the Arts and the Governor's Scholar Program.
Judge Pender praised the students’ statewide achievements and encouraged them to continue using their talents for community benefit, saying their accomplishments “give all the rest of us hope for tomorrow.” The court read a roster of honorees from Highlands High School, Campbell County High School, Bishop Brossard High School and Newport Central Catholic High School and invited commissioners and students to the front for a group photo.
The court named multiple students individually, including Marshall Anstead, Lily Armberg, Chelsea Crisler, Natalie Hurles, Madison Wolf, Ellie Clift, Liam Delaney, Ben Weber Horowitz, Sophia Hamilton and others. Officials noted some honorees were not in attendance but were publicly recognized by name.
The recognition segment concluded with applause and brief commissioner remarks thanking staff who organized the presentation.
