Campbell County Fiscal Court approves school transportation contract, bridge replacement planning and other fiscal measures

The court moved, seconded and adopted R7524 by voice vote.
The court approved replacing County Bridge MBI 007 on Plum Creek Road, describing the project as replacing the aging structure with a corrugated pipe culvert and using a competitive bid process. The court also authorized the Judge Executive to apply for 80/20 rural secondary bridge funds from the state transportation cabinet (KYTC) to obtain partial reimbursement for the MBI 007 replacement.
The court authorized purchase, via the state master agreement, of a 2024 Ford Edge from Paul Miller Ford for the IT director to replace a 2009 Ford Fusion. The estimate presented was $47,393, and the item was included in the FY2025 budget. The court approved renewing the contract for tree and limb removal services with Garen Green for the period 10/2024–10/19/2025 at unchanged rates and approved budget transfers dated 09/30/2024 and interfund transfers for operating expenses dated 09/30/2024.
Finally, the court moved to approve claims and claims paid per standing order for the dates presented and employee benefits claims; one member recused from employee-benefits-related claims because of an employer relationship with vendors, and the court approved the claims by voice vote. No roll-call tallies were recorded on the transcript; all items were adopted by voice votes as shown in the meeting record.
