Campbell County swears in two new officers and honors long-serving volunteer

Campbell County’s Fiscal Court formally swore in two new police officers and recognized a long-serving volunteer during its meeting.

Judge Bendrick called the meeting to order and introduced Jeremy Newberry to assist with the swearing-in of new officers identified in the record as Eric Schmichler and Storm Hanger. Newberry described the training pathway for new hires: a 20-week program at the Richmond Criminal Justice Training Center followed by roughly 12 weeks of field training with a field training officer.
