During the meeting the county clerk reported two budget transfers for approval: $100,000 from the general fund to the jail budget and $25,000 from the general fund to judicial accounts. "The first one is, transferred to jail $100,000 from the general to jail," the clerk said while reading the transfer items.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval of the transfers and completed a voice vote on the matter. The meeting record did not include individual roll-call votes or a numerical tally for the transfers.
Officials also presented the tax-rate documents for a first reading and set a called meeting for the second reading. The board scheduled a special meeting for Monday at 9 a.m. to complete the tax-rate process and indicated that would be the only item on that agenda.
