Court approves minutes, bills, treasurer’s statement and deferred-compensation resolution

Early on the agenda the court approved the August minutes and the meeting agenda by voice vote. Members then approved payment of the county’s monthly bills after a motion and second. The treasurer presented the fund cash statement and the court approved it by motion and voice vote.
Staff summarized budget-transfer items and an ordinance amendment (material 80824, Amendment No. 2) noting an interim reimbursement from the sheriff’s department that increased the general fund by $17,006. The court moved to approve the budget transfers as presented.
The court also considered an annual resolution to continue participation in the Kentucky Public Employees Deferred Compensation program. The resolution would allow Madison Pelfrey, the county’s finance officer, to execute documents to maintain the county’s participation; magistrate Shingle moved to approve and magistrate Moore seconded. The measure was approved by the court.
