Hickey said the plan would cover lighting, parking, ADA access and long‑range site layout so the group can pursue grants and present professional plans to funders.
Magistrate Astrid Sullivan moved to approve the $750 donation; the motion was seconded and approved. County staff told the court there was room in special projects and capital equipment lines to cover the contribution.
Hickey asked the county to reduce administrative barriers between city and county as the groups pursue grants and projects; the court said it would coordinate as needed.
Next steps: Parks and Recreation will execute the planning contract if funds are secured and pursue grant opportunities for construction and accessibility improvements.
