The McCreary County Fiscal Court approved two grant-related funding actions during the December session.
Item 17: The court approved a payment to Outdoor Venture Corporation for invoice 120524 in the amount of $256,865.20 to be paid from OBC AML grant funds. EM Director Stephen McKinney presented the invoice and the court voted to approve payment by roll call.
Item 18: The court approved a resolution from the Industrial Development Board to request regional development agency assistance funds from the Tennessee Valley Authority in the amount of $359,727. Presenters said those funds are already in the board’s account but that each draw requires a resolution plus letters of support from state lawmakers. A speaker noted the need for letters of support from Senator Stivers and Representative (name unclear in transcript) as part of the draw process.
Both motions were approved by roll-call vote.
The court did not record substantive debate on terms or contingencies beyond the standard requirement that draws be supported by resolutions and letters from officials.
