Court members discussed that the county has a grant of $200,000 toward the project and said the difference would need to be covered if the lower bid were accepted.
Members also flagged that the original bid specifications did not include a completion-deadline clause; one speaker recommended adding that requirement. After discussion, the court voted to table the bids so staff can review the specifications and funding implications before bringing the matter back for a decision.
"The grant that we got is for $200,000," a speaker said during the discussion, noting that the grant amount would be considered when evaluating bids.
The matter was tabled by a roll-call vote; no contractor was awarded at the meeting.
