At their Oct. 7 meeting the McPherson County Board of Commissioners handled multiple administrative items in a single business block.
Personnel: Mike Evans presented a personnel change notice to rehire Jason Erickson as a mechanic (mechanic 2). A commissioner moved to approve the PCN effective Oct. 7, 2024; the motion was seconded and approved.
Financial and administrative approvals: The board approved last week's minutes, checks and payroll and approved reissuing two voided Visa transactions after a motion and voice vote.
Urban area boundary: The county reviewed an urban area boundary submission from the City of McPherson. Staff noted minor corrections on the second page but said there was no county financial obligation; the chair was authorized to sign the city document as presented.
Delegate appointment: The board named Heath Becker as the county's certified voting delegate for the upcoming annual K Camp meeting in Wichita and designated an alternate; motions were moved, seconded and carried.
Recess and administrative reminders: Commissioners agreed to recess for a road tour scheduled for Oct. 27. Staff also reminded attendees to complete health and payroll forms for processing.
Each of these motions passed by voice vote during the session.
