Commission approves emergency communications personnel moves; tower permits expected next year

McClure also presented a new-hire recommendation for Selena Jantz (pronunciation noted). Commissioners voted to approve the PCN for Jantz with the effective date discussed in the motion; the motion passed by voice vote.
On infrastructure, McClure said approvals for the Wyndham tower site have come through and the tower builder expects to break ground after required ASR thresholds and permits are satisfied, estimating work starting in early 2025. She said the permit package includes HVAC units to rehab an existing building at the East site and listed related accounts-payable line items for those units.
Why it matters: Staffing and communications infrastructure affect emergency response capacity. The personnel votes fill roles in the dispatch center; the tower permits, once construction begins, will expand radio and communications coverage for first responders.
