Mount Pleasant Area SD — The school board, meeting Dec. 4 for its annual reorganization, appointed Mister Ban as board president and Jay Wyman as vice president for one-year terms and approved routine administrative items including signature authorization and the 2025 meeting calendar.
The meeting opened with roll call; nine members were present. The board first appointed a temporary president, then opened nominations for president. A motion to appoint Mister Ban as president was made by Julie Lovis and seconded by Missus Brooks; the motion carried following a voice/roll call vote.
The board then closed nominations for vice president and appointed Jay Wyman to the post for a one-year term. Members congratulated the newly seated officers.
On related procedural business the board approved maintaining current authorized signatures for district accounts at this meeting (a formality noted by staff) and adopted the proposed 2025 board calendar, which continues the pattern of meeting the first Wednesday of each month and lists reorganization on Dec. 3, 2025.
