Harrison County commission approves routine business and community funding

Harrison County commissioners on Nov. 13 approved routine business and several small funding requests during a meeting that also addressed infrastructure and nuisance-abatement items.
The board approved the consent agenda; payroll change notices A–E (with one effective‑date correction); amended minutes A and B; requisitions, purchase orders and invoices A–D; and exonerations attached to the agenda. Most motions passed on voice votes with no recorded opposition.
The commission also approved a $1,500 allocation to support the Shinston Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning. Organizer Jason Martin described the event as a community run/walk staged at the Sue Ann Miller rail trail and noted it will include a kids’ 'gobble wobble' event.
Finally, commissioners approved budget revisions for the prosecuting attorney after staff review. These routine approvals were taken early in the agenda and carried by voice vote.
