The district and its transportation contractor described a software migration this summer that left routing work in a non-live "sandbox" environment. "The start of this school year was probably the most chaotic start that I have been a part of," one contractor representative said, describing how staff worked into the early morning to re-create live routes and manually prepare route sheets for drivers. The contractor said the student information system and routing platform lacked a live integration, and routes had to be rebuilt once the systems were connected.
