Newman accepts Stanislaus HOME Consortium CAPER showing funds banked for Sunshine Park project

The Newman City Council on Sept. 10 accepted the Stanislaus HOME Consortium and Stanislaus Urban County Fiscal Year 2023-24 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), which documents use and performance of HOME Program funds.
City staff said Newman was allotted just over $150,000 for the period and that the city has been banking those HOME funds for a planned Sunshine Park-area rehabilitation project that will include tree removal, sidewalk, curb and gutter work and street repairs. Staff said design work is underway and the project is expected to go out to bid next summer.
Unidentified Speaker 9 moved to adopt the resolution accepting the CAPER; Unidentified Speaker 7 seconded. The motion carried 4-0.
