Brentwood—s City Council narrowly approved the long-contested Bridal Gate subdivision on Dec. 10, adopting CEQA findings and a revised tentative map after more than three hours of presentations, public comment and council deliberation.
Ryan Patterson, representing the applicant, told the council the alternate plan was rewritten in response to community input: "We listened. We really listened to that feedback… and put together an alternate project," he said, noting the changes included eliminating direct local auto access to Saint Regis/San Jose, adding a second Sand Creek Road access, reducing the total homes from 272 to 269, and consolidating two small parks into one 8.49-acre park with 4.35 acres of usable, low-slope space.
