ACC public-safety training center delayed after no bids for water/sewer connection

"We didn't we had nobody bid on the project," Carter said, describing the missing bids as a problem that could slow the entire project. He explained the work is relatively small—connecting water and sewer from Green Level to the campus—but is critical to completing the training facility and enabling fire-training operations.
County and college staff are working on options to have the general contractor include the connection as an adjustment to their contract. Commissioners said they would continue to coordinate with ACC to keep the project moving.
No formal vote or funding action was taken at the meeting; commissioners asked staff to follow up on contracting options and timeline implications.
