RSU 09 turf committee to gather more research after initial health literature review

The committee intends to continue a balanced review of pros, cons, costs and risks; it plans guest speakers, including Sarah Woodbury from a public-health advocacy group and a representative from Activitas, at upcoming meetings and aims to finalize recommendations for the Nov. 5 board agenda. Committee members said they did not plan a separate public informational meeting at this time because concerns had so far been raised by a board member rather than the public, but they invited additional up-to-date studies and noted they would incorporate those into continuing discussion.
No formal board action was taken; the committee will return with findings and recommendations.
