Board members were told the current fiscal-year contract cap was $135,000 and the requested increase would raise the not-to-exceed cap to roughly $185,000 to account for increased work on a possible $20 million community grant and related activities. The Facilities Committee and Dr. Cavanaugh had earlier described Greenlink’s return on investment as high; during committee remarks a 64-to-1 return figure was cited for grants and opportunities tied to Greenlink’s work.
Trustees emphasized the distinction between the solar-panel procurement (separate contract) and the grant/technical-assistance contract now being extended. The board approved the extension and the cap increase by unanimous voice vote.
