County facilities update: courthouse and Bridal Center progress, Monroe Clinic NEPA near completion

Paul Walsinger of Benton County Public Works briefed the commissioners on major facilities projects.
Walsinger said work on the new Benton County Courthouse has advanced: negotiations related to the historic Swick House and other land‑use issues appear to be resolving and the remaining hurdles are stakeholder agreement and recording the plat. Teams are preparing details to try to mitigate delays caused by the upcoming rainy season.
On the Bridal Center project, Walsinger said decking on the first floor is finished and two structural beams were scheduled to arrive, after which second‑floor framing and roofing to achieve a weather‑tight shell are next priorities.
Walsinger also reported the Monroe Clinic NEPA review is in and final results are expected shortly; pre‑programming work has been done to confirm the clinic’s square‑footage and functional needs in advance of construction timing.
