District reports Infinite Campus rollout nearly complete; pilots underway for digital check-in, electronic hall passes and responsive scheduler

Chief technology and data staff updated the board on the district’s Infinite Campus rollout, describing features already in use and those coming in phase 2.

Holly King told the board the district launched Infinite Campus in August and, of roughly 5,000 students, fewer than 10 lack a parent-portal account. Phase 1 implemented gradebook, attendance, behavior, and historical assessment data integration; district leaders said this consolidation frees staff from multiple systems and improves real-time access to student data.

Phase 2 features are being piloted in select buildings and include digital check-in/check-out (students scan a barcode or enter their student number), an electronic hall-pass that limits the number of students who can be out of class at once and a responsive scheduler for secondary schools’ flex time. First Flight High School is piloting the responsive scheduler, which allows teachers to post daily offerings and assign or allow students to sign up for supports or enrichment during flexible periods.

"Of our 5,000 students, we have less than 10 without a parent portal account associated with a parent or guardian," King said. She added that the responsive scheduler has been well received at the pilot site with anecdotal improvements in grades and attendance reported by staff.

Board members praised the rollout and asked follow-up questions; staff said they will continue building features incrementally and share pilot results.
