Dare Early College funding: The board voted to request that the Dare County Board of Commissioners release funds previously approved for the Dare Early College project; the motion carried on a voice vote and the chair said he will contact county staff to release the funds.
Donation from Dare County ABC Board: The board accepted a donation of 10 large-screen monitors (estimated cost about $900 each; total approximately $9,000) from the Dare County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to support anti-drug and alcohol education assemblies and daily messaging. Policy 80-2-20 requires board approval for donations over $5,000; the board voted to accept the monitors by voice vote.
Architect services: Following an RFQ process, the board approved a five-year master agreement with Oakley Collier Architects for architect services on multiple planned projects; the master agreement will allow service orders for individual projects and does not itself obligate construction dollars.
