The Gardena City Council on Aug. 20 approved a package of administrative and operating items, including reorganization of outside committee assignments, authorization to use Measure A park funds for future projects, renewal of a Measure W transfer agreement, purchase of heavy equipment for public works, and two contracts with Clean Energy to support GTrans operations.
Mayor Serta opened the meeting and the council first approved reassigned delegate and alternate seats to outside bodies after a short staff briefing. Councilmember Francis moved the reorganization; the motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Tanaka and carried on a roll call vote with all members voting yes.
