Baker City Council adopts refuse franchise ordinance, accepts grants and approves appointments

Council awarded a development-code consulting contract to the top-ranked firm after staff said the firm agreed to bring its proposal in line with the available budget; council motioned to award the contract and approved it.
Also adopted was the official election-results proclamation for Nov. 5, 2024; the city elections official read certificates of election and vote totals for several successful candidates. The council adjourned after councilor comments and recognition of outgoing Councilor Larry Pearson.
