Worcester reports successful first Veterans Health Clinic; staff plan outreach expansion

Dr. Joe Robinson, Director of Veteran Services for the City of Worcester, briefed the committee on the first annual Veterans Health Clinic, which he said was “a tremendous success.”
Robinson described collaboration with Worcester Public Health, the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System and partners including Worcester State University nursing students, The Worcester Veterans Center and Community Health Link. Services provided included COVID‑19 vaccinations to uninsured individuals, flu shots, blood‑pressure screenings and donated medical equipment; staff used radio promotion and social media and plan expanded outreach to community‑based and faith‑based partners and Worcester Public Schools.
