Bath County spotlights Crossroads counselor Jamie Poe for KSCA emerging-leader honor

The Bath County Board of Education recognized Miss Jamie Poe of Crossroads Elementary at its Sept. 26 special meeting for receiving the Kentucky School Counselor Association (KSCA) Emerging Leader honor.
A prepared statement and subsequent remarks from Principal Hunt and colleagues highlighted Poe’s more than a decade in education and five years as a school counselor, her role coordinating Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at Crossroads, and a grant she secured to create a calming space for students to manage stress. Principal Hunt said he has “had the honor and privilege of working with Miss Poe for 2 years” and added, “She’s amazing.”
Board members and attendees offered congratulations; the recognition was presented from the board’s Spotlight agenda item. No formal action beyond the recognition was taken.
