Teresa Gregory sworn in as Kent School District director for District 4

The Kent School District Board welcomed and swore in Teresa Gregory as the appointed director for Director District 4 during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
Superintendent Vella administered the oath of office. Gregory repeated the pledge and pledged to “faithfully and impartially discharge the duties of this office as prescribed by law.” The board had added the oath to the agenda as item 11.01 after conducting interviews and roll-call voting during a prior special meeting; the motion to amend the agenda passed unanimously 4–0.
Board members thanked Gregory for her flexibility to attend on short notice and welcomed her to the dais. Director Gregory said she was “super excited to get my feet and hands dirty coming up.”
The board noted the first full board meeting for Gregory will be Feb. 26, 2025, and thanked the other applicants for their interest in service to the district.
