The board approved a sheriff’s office request to replace aging in‑car and body‑worn camera systems, accepting a proposal that included equipment and cloud storage; funding was to come from personal‑services savings and a reimbursement account allocated to the sheriff. The total quoted for 12 vehicle units and body cameras was $180,905.72 and the motion passed.
Maintenance staff requested authorization to purchase a vertical man lift to reach 18‑foot jail ceilings. Commissioners authorized bidding on Purple Wave and placed a maximum purchase cap of $6,000, with a planned special accounts‑payable procedure so immediate payment could be issued if the county wins a remote auction.
