Council recognizes Clarence Vetter for years of service

A plaque was presented 'to Clarence Vetter, presented with our respect and appreciation for your dedication and services council member, CD Scranton Forks, January 2013 to December 2004' (plaque text as read in the meeting). Multiple council members and other speakers thanked Vetter for leadership on council committees, the MPO and finance and negotiations work.
Remarks included expressions of appreciation and holiday wishes. One council member said the council had 'some interesting discussions… we agreed to disagree on a few items, but, it all came out in the long run.' Another thanked Vetter for his stewardship and tied his work to keeping property taxes low in the past year.
The recognition occurred near the end of the meeting; following the remarks the council moved to adjourn. No formal action beyond the presentation and statements of appreciation was recorded in the transcript.
